The Raleigh Area's Rock n' Roll Revival!

Band members

Taylor King

Lead Vocals / Guitar / Keyboard

Taylor hails from right here in North Carolina, growing up as a New Hill-billy outside of Apex.  He brings a soulful voice and and a mean lead guitar to the YMNB mix, and also does a great job as the band's booker too.

Randy Soare

Lead Vocals / Guitar / Harmonica / Keyboard/ Shakey Things

Randy brings the ham factor to YMNB.  Once a professional actor, now he spends his band gigs mugging for the fans and over emoting vocal lines.  In addition to guitar, Randy plays a mean blues harmonica that brings out the southern soul in every tune.

Robert Kerns

Lead Guitar

As YMNB's resident gunslinger, Robert brings the metal edge to the band.  As the leader of heavy metal bands Oracle and Majesteria, he's honed his guitar skills to a razor sharp edge.  Robert is a master of blistering fast leads and heartbreaking melodic runs that guarantee to blow the mind.

Jared Rodegast

Bass / Vocals

Jared holds down the floor for YMNB thumping out non-stop funky bass lines and mellow vocal harmonies.  He can play pretty much any instrument on the planet from a didgeridoo to a vibraslap.  (And those are both real instruments.)

Michael Batts

Drums and Vocals

Michael Batts is the mercurial drummer for YMNB. He combines his Ninja like precision, (the blender, not the martial arts kind) with rock solid rhythm, funky back beats and soaring vocals to create what we like to call, The Gundam Drummer Man.  Part machine, part country gentleman, Michael is the the rhythmic glue that hold the band’s backline together.  We like to sum up the man, the myth, the legend by his famous quote at the Grover Cleveland inaugural ceremony. “I think I’ll have an extra dry martini, and punch William Howard Taft in the throat. Good day y’all!”
